Michael Godfrey, a Little Rock, Arkansas native, has dedicated his life to helping others overcome addiction and build meaningful lives in recovery. His passion for this work is deeply personal, shaped by his own journey through addiction, homelessness, and the loss of his older brother to the disease. Co-founding Little Rock Recovery is his way of honoring his brother’s memory and offering others the opportunity to heal.
Michael holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and has extensive experience in addiction treatment. Outside of work, Michael enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his fiancée, Stephanie, and their family and friends.
Brian Fleckenstine, APRN
Director of Nursing, Co-Founder

Brian, a North Little Rock native, is a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. His journey into the field was deeply personal—after battling addiction from his teenage years into his 30s until he found lasting recovery in 2014. This turning point inspired him to pursue a career in mental health, driven by the desire to help others navigate their own paths to healing.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019 and later a Master of Science in Nursing with a certification in Psychiatric Mental Health in 2023. Over the past seven years, he has worked in various clinical settings, specializing in addiction treatment and psychiatric care. Brian, a Co-Founder of Little Rock Recovery, continuously serves as both a clinician and an inspiration, proving that healing and transformation are always within reach.
George Konis, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Konis is a board-certified addictionologist with over 20 years of experience in addiction medicine. He has worked extensively in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in treating various substance use disorders. Dr. Konis is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals struggling with addiction.

With over a decade of experience in mental health operations, Michael Meeuwsen has spent years leading teams that provide exceptional care for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Michael is recognized for his excellence in crisis prevention, focusing on proactive systems to ensure the safety and well-being of both clients and staff.
As the Director of Operations at Little Rock Recovery, Michael brings a personal commitment to his work, shaped by his own experiences with addiction in his family. Michael’s ability to inspire and innovate will play a key role in advancing the organization’s mission to support those facing addiction.
Jeremy Heavner
Peer Recovery Support Specialist

Jeremy Heavner is a dedicated Peer Recovery Support Specialist at Little Rock Recovery, where he provides compassionate and experienced support to individuals navigating the complexities of recovery. Jeremy brings a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges and triumphs inherent in the recovery process.
He is a devoted father to two daughters, Hailie and Brittney, and looks forward to expanding his family with his fiancé, Ashlee, and her children. This personal connection to family strengthens his commitment to helping others build strong foundations for a brighter future.

Little Rock Recovery is a premier outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center located at the base of the Big Dam Bridge in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders, empowering them to achieve lasting recovery and a healthier, more fulfilling life.
We specialize in Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care, offering structured treatment that bridges the gap between inpatient rehabilitation and independent recovery. Our programs are designed to provide clients with the support, therapy, and education they need while allowing them to maintain their daily responsibilities.
